These novels for my classroom will make a difference with my students' learning so they can expand their minds to global issues. My students are only closed to our four walls and North Carolina, and are blind to today's topic. This will be utilizes as an eye opener so students' can look into our global problems. Students will be highly engaged in this novel due to them being able to identify with the young woman and see how tremendous and brave she was. Along with the text will be able to look at vocabulary and make connections to other texts.
