This is why I need your help! Over the years I have noticed my students are more engaged and eager to learn when our lessons incorporate technology. Currently we have some laptops in our classroom, but they are extremely outdated and have their days when they want to work. Our school has purchased a great reading and math program to help them on their skills. Myon is a program that has helped my students learn how to read and identify sight words. Mathletics has helped my students learn their basics of addition and subtraction. My goal with this technology is to help my students become engaged when it comes to group or independent activities and create better activities to keep them engaged. Trust me your donation will truly make a difference! My students are so grateful for life's simple surprises and opportunities. Many of my students go home and see violence within their neighborhood or home. Or they go home to an overcrowded apartment where they might have to share with other family members or strangers because of the fact their parents may not make enough to cover rent. I have parents that even work more than two jobs to make ends meet, which affects their child’s learning. At the end of the day all face something that a child should not face at such a young age, and I commit to making their lives at school the very best that it can be so that they can grow up and do something so wonderful!
