In ELA, we plan to complete a comparative literature unit, comparing the lives of those who had to deal with unfortunate events of WWII and what kinds of things do they deal with now. Unfortunately, our school has no funds for copies of Number the Stars. Number the Stars addresses important issues such as hiding to save lives and raises the question of "is any lie a good lie?". When funded, this project will deliver brand new Lowry books into the hands of wonderful public school children. They deserve to study history, and have access to books that will forever change them.

About my class
