Collaborative learning is so important to help students gain the social and life skills necessary to succeed and learn. The furniture in the classroom is so important to help promote this kind of learning. The traditional desk and chair in classrooms isolates students from each other and make it very difficult for them to collaborate and learn. Students also need to move and adjust throughout the day on their chair or around the classroom in order to learn effectively. Collaboration in learning is vital for students to learn social and life skills so they can work with others throughout their life. The furniture that I am asking for in my classroom is going to promote an environment where students will be able to move and collaborate easily. The students in my classroom will thrive and flourish if I provide the furniture and space that they will need to learn.
