In order for my students to effectively follow along with guided practice on paper, modeling an assignment or project, and even displaying their own work to their classmates, I need to use an overhead projector and document reader. My students would be actively engaged and highly interested in watching the modeling. Without this technology, I am unable to display images on the white board big enough for the whole class to see. When I hold up a piece of paper for the class to see, students blurt out that they cannot see it or I end up running around to each individual child to see up close. An ELMO document camera and projector would be a great tool to help students actually see a larger image or real life example of what I am talking about. I can also hook it up to my laptop and display interactive lessons, topic specific Power Point slideshows, and video clips for all to see to enhance their learning experiences.
