With student cubbies taking up one wall, classroom cabinets on another wall, and most of the 3rd wall taken up by windows, there is very little display area in our classroom. At times I try taping student work to a cement block wall connected to the outside, but the tape does not stick once the cold sets in. A magnetic dry erase board would allow for student work to be displayed. We often have gallery walks where students learn from each others' strategies and ideas; the magnetic board would allow these strategies and ideas to remain posted for future reference.
