I am requesting 11 packs of flash drives and 1 central classroom external drive in order to download and storage digital lesson components to be view or reviewed outside of the classroom. Many of my students have a computer at home, but they have no access to the Internet. My classroom is in the second year of developing flipped lessons to support students' study habits and provide more time for in-class inquiry science labs. Through the use of a centralized classroom hard drive and student flash drives, students will have access to view or reviewing all digital lessons and supporting PowerPoints, You Tube instructional videos, etc. I have found this type of science classroom to be notably more successful, especially for students who are absent and/or need more time for note taking. In addition, taking lessons home on the flash drive allows for parents to see the lessons and help support their child's learning process.
