My students need a listening center to enhance their reading skills! We also need a set of Favorite Picture Books Read-Alongs. The listening center will be used by a group of students each day during center time. They will be able to use the cd player and headphones to listen to a variety of books. This will help improve their reading fluency and comprehension skills. Through your generous donations my students will be given the opportunity to become stronger readers and gain important reading skills! My students need many opportunities to listen to books read fluently. The students in my class come from low-income homes. Some start school speaking little to no English while others may not have the opportunities to have many books read to them. These materials will give all of my students the opportunity to hear books read with fluency and expression. This will give my students the skills they need to become lifelong readers!
