We teach all 9th-grade classes where students are already intimidated by the high school environment. Also, we teach in an urban setting where many students do not have the money to buy school supplies to help them be successful in the classroom. We want to provide a more organized classroom and take some stress off of the students. We will be setting each binder up for each individual kid before school starts so when they walk into the room it is less stressful for them. In regards to the whiteboard, we teach in a co-taught classroom where we utilize small group instruction. The rolling whiteboard will allow us to have two lessons going on at the same time. We will also use this for reteaching lessons that certain kids did not understand and can use it to help students will disabilities when teaching one on one.
