This project will completely change the look and dynamic of my classroom. These new seating options will free my students from simply sitting in their desk all day. This past year I had several students who simply could not just sit in a chair. They needed to move or even in some cases stand. I believe that my first graders no more about their own personal learning styles than any book could ever explain. They know how they feel the most comfortable. Providing seating option that not only give them a choice but also allow them to fidget when necessary will minimize distractions and maximize valuable learning time. These material will allow for students to sit on stability disks, work from the floor, or use a ball chair. I'm also working hard to make extra items myself throughout the summer such as crate seating and vinyl floor pillows.
