Getting students reading is a very difficult everyday challenge. Whether it is their inability to read, or their reluctance to read, children often will avoid reading if they can. Reluctant readers need books that will interest them. It is my hope that by expanding my classroom library, I can get more students interested in reading. Having a variety of leveled books will also give me the access to reach students on multiple levels. This will give me the ability to push those students that are advanced to read on their level, while allowing me to get struggling readers, reading as well.
