The frye microscopes will be used in our science classes and stored for safe keeping in a locked cabinet. The students are required to have 50% hands on science experiences in the classroom. However with yearly budget cuts to education it becomes difficult to provide these experiences without the proper equipment. It is my desire to provide the equipment for my students and with your donation, the low income classes will also have access to the technology. With the transition to Common Core science, students have been given larger, real-world problems to figure out that require technology at an earlier age. Introducing microscopes to the kindergarten means that our students learn problem solving and reasoning skills needed in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum course of study. Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future. These
