Flexible seating allows my students to take charge of their learning environment and make choices that work best for them. During independent work times, my students will choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Some students choose to sit under tables with clip boards, or sit laying on the floor, while others choose to sit at the tables. Making sure they are comfortable is an essential part of motivating them. A noticeable difference has been seen in my students when they are given choices for their seating. They sit away from distractions and are more engaged then when they are just sitting at their desk. My students are more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice where to work. The products selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools will allow them to sit at their desk or at higher tables but will still allow movement. The stools and the cushions will be extremely helpful for those students that need to get the wiggles out. I have seen how choice can make a positive difference in not only my students demeanor but also their work ethic. It is my hope that these options will help my students grow even more!
