My class serves students with different disabilities including Autism, Intellectual Disability, Developmental Delay, Other Health Impairment and Multiple Disability. All my students stay whole day in my classroom. I have very old wooden student's desks with broken legs. As we know special need students have less attention span, the squeaky sound from the broken legs is causing distraction. My students are sitting uncomfortably in broken desks all day long. This project (Student Chair Desks) will allow severe disability students to sit flexibly, comfortably and safely to be a successful learner. Though learning does not come easy to them, I expect each student can learn and be successful in their daily life. All my students will get benefit from this project.
