My class serve students with different disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Language Impaired, Developmentally Delayed and Emotional Disturbed. The students in my classroom perform at least 2 years behind their current grade level. Resource teachers are expected to differentiate instruction to close the achievement gaps in math, reading and science. This project will allow at risk students to improve math skills and be successful for higher grades. Students will improve their skills through the use of technology and meaningful engagement. We want our students to have skills, including communication, creativity, collaboration and critical skills, which we found technology facilitates. Using the Chromebooks and tablets, students are allowed to broaden their range of experiences and get a much better sense of all possible results. By using the easel, students are given space where they can be independent to practice or create learning skills.
