The 10 Chromebooks that we are requesting will be use on different grade levels in order to deepen higher-level thinking for students. Some of my students do not have access to the Internet at their home. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will enable disadvantaged students to be on a level playing field with those who have access to technological online tools at home. It would be an amazing opportunity for all students in the classroom to have equal access to online tools to help enhance their knowledge in mathematical standards. Although my school is rather small, I am not able to take my students to the lab as often as I desire. These Chromebooks will allow the students to explore mathematical concepts and standards online. Also, the students could work on specific standards in Khan Academy, where they can watch videos, answer questions, and get extra assistance if needed. Hopefully, the Chromebooks will increase student engagement and student knowledge inside and outside of the classroom!
