Hi there, My name is Ms. Garza and I've been in the lovely business of teaching a whole year now, but I like to think of it as my whole life. I studied Applied Learning and Development at The University of Texas at Austin and am now employed by Houston ISD through, the amazing non-profit, Teach for America. This year has been so incredible and taught me so much, I've seen so many students make incredible jumps in their education and cannot wait to see what's in store for next year. I will once again be teaching self-contained (All subjects) and lack many resources for reading. Books being the main one. When I was younger I remember my 4th grade class reading extraordinary books like; Hatchet, Number the Stars, and James and the Giant Peach. I hope that through D.C. I am able to give my students the same amazing experience. Thank you for taking the time to visit my teacher page and projects! Best, Ms. Garza
