BOYCP IB High School strives to develop internationally minded students that will create a better, more peaceful world. Serving low income students, the school aims at helping the surrounding communities grow and thrive despite dangerous conditions. One of the ways it wishes to do so is by giving students access to music courses so they may create change using music as a catalyst. In just its second year, the new instrumental music program has increased from 65 to 200 music students in one year! With a 300% increase in participation, we are seeking funds to give all of our students access to an instrument. Currently many students are sharing instruments, and in some cases mouthpieces. By the end of the 2017-2018 school year, the school wishes to give every music student access to an instrument so they can pursue their musical interests in and outside of the school and create a better community for all.
