I teach K5 inclusion which encompasses a variety of learning styles and needs in one classroom. I would really like to provide an environment that allows all of my students to be fully engaged all the time. Most students do not stay engaged or reach their full potential when they are asked to sit in traditional classroom desks and chairs for 6 hours. Research shows that kindergartners need to move in order to be fully engaged. Your generous donation to our classroom will allow us to provide various options in flexible seating which in turn will help optimize learning. Standing at an easel will allow a student to be engaged vertically, balance balls and wobble will allow students to move while doing their work. Laundry baskets will allow the child with an IEP to perhaps have that special space to get his/her work done. Various seating options will allow the students to feel as though they have a choice in how they will learn.
