I'm a new Kindergarten teacher this year, it is also my first full time teaching job! I got the opportunity to observe one of my Kinder teammates for next year and something she told me that was super important to have in the classroom was a carpet (even 2!) for my class to sit on. Kids learn better with structure and I hope to be able to provide them with their down designated spot to sit! I'm requesting a Calming Colored carpet for the front of the room where the kids will listen to read alouds and do more of their learning, next I will be working towards a circle carpet for their morning and afternoon meetings.
