My students need to become more adept at using biotechnology to meet the NGSS learning standards. These Gel Electrophoresis supplies will allow them to run DNA samples to simulate forensic investigations and better understand the physical properties of DNA as well as separation techniques. My goal is to make science come to life to promote college and career readiness while achieving the Next Generation Science Standards. These specific gel boxes will allow more students to participate directly in the lab activity because a single box can run multiple gels. This increase of hands-on activity will also increase student engagement.

About my class
