I knew at an early age that I wanted a job helping others. After graduating from high school, I entered college to become a social worker. Unfortunately, I took the first job that hired me - a customer service rep at a well known bank. Fast forward many years and I'm miserable at the bank, although I've managed to move up the ranks. In my spare time I found ways to work with children, from becoming a Girl Scouts troop leader to teaching Sunday school to a group of kindergarten children at my church. Interestingly, I realized I loved teaching and working with children. So after thirteen years at the bank, I left it all to do what I believe I was called to do - TEACH. Teaching is a craft which I reflect on daily. Working with the staff and students at Northridge Middle School brings me joy. I actually look forward to work every single day, which brings something new and challenging.
