Educational technology facilitates student learning and boosts their capacity, productivity, and performance. Technology has the power of presenting tough concepts clearly for each and every student in the class. Thanks to technology, students enjoy learning! Technology provides four tools that help students to read successfully: presentation of information and activities to students; assessment of students' work; response to students' work; and access to word pronunciation and definitions. Use of iPads in an elementary classroom provides several advantages. There are many iPad applications that support literacy education, give students choices, and motivate them to use those apps during work centers. The same skills are taught and reviewed repeatedly throughout the year and following years, so the skills become automatic. The apps review lessons in different ways for each student. Differentiation and providing each learner with a task at their level is important. Literacy educators should integrate technology in their instruction and specifically in vocabulary instruction. We must improve students' vocabulary if we are to develop the advanced literacy levels required for success in school and beyond.
