Imagine coming to school each day without the basic supplies you needed to be successful. Sure, you could ask to borrow from a friend or classmate but after awhile, it becomes frustrating to constantly have to ask others for assistance. Eventually, you might stop asking and take what you need from others to escape from drawing attention to yourself. This is a challenge that many of my students face daily in the classroom. I need your help to ensure that my students always have the supplies they need to tackle difficult math problems, become thoughtful writers, and write thoughtful questions and comments about books they are reading. Providing my students with pencils, paper, and erasers will ensure that no student, in my classroom, ever has to ask to borrow what they need to be successful again!
