This is just the beginning of my project! I am looking to provide 2 more different types of sensory seating in my classroom besides these chairs. I want my students to be able to choose what seating might fit best for them. Whether it be the stability ball chairs, a raised table where they are able to stand and work or sit on a stool, sit on the sensory disk on the floor at the table, or sit in a regular student chair. Providing these choices for them, I believe will help these students stay more focused because they are giving their body what it needs to learn. I have seen over the last several years that many students do not like to just sit and do their work. They are either standing, kneeling down by the table or sitting in a seat. Why make them sit down when it isn't going to help them finish their work any faster?
