After teaching for over 10 years I have seen so many students be so uncomfortable and wiggly in regular chairs. I have been reading many articles about alternative seating and how it can help students focus and enhance their learning in the classroom. One of the most common items teachers use are the Hokki chairs. For a student being allowed to wiggle and wobble but not fall down, is an amazing option for them to use as alternative seating in our classroom! I have seen these stools in use and students really are able to focus and move their body around as much as they need to but not in a disruptive way. I can't wait to have a set in my own classroom so my students can get their wiggles out too!
