My students love to practice their listening skills by listening to stories online. www.storylineonline.net and Raz Kids are two of our favorite sites. Students can use the headphones to interact on these websites without being disturbed or be disturbing to their peers. With the microphones attached, students will be able to participate in online assessments in RAZ Kids. I will be able to measure their growth and plan accordingly. Being a Special Needs class, funding to us is significantly limited. Even with my efforts and parents support, we are still lacking vital resources. Social Skills remain a significant need for my students with Autism. With the books, I can continue to have my students reinforce their listening skills by learning in our social skills group time.
