I have implemented meaningful and innovative tech to engage students since starting my career at the NYC DOE. I am a tinkerer and modify tech to make it accessible for students with special needs. When students are engaged, they succeed, education comes to life and lessons are enriched! My students and I have 3D-printed prosthetic hands, featured in museums, all thanks to the generosity of donors like you and DonorsChoose! I have gone on to turnkey new and exciting work in edtech as a repeat presenter at the NYC DOE's Tech Summit, teaching educators how to incorporate best practices. In 2016, I was awarded NYC's most prestigious honor for teaching instructional technology: The Excellence in School Technology Award! Our school specializes in autism and multiple/severe disabilities. Students range from pre-K-3rd grade and are the highest needs students in the NYC Public School system. I teach all classes. :)
