Hi my name is Rama Bulkin. I am the PE teacher for APEX. APEX Academy students are inner city, at-risk students living in East Hollywood, a city filled with dreams and filled with life's harsh reality. Their school and city are a contradiction of the truth. It is a location where the imaginary high school show "GLEE" is filmed, but the reality of high school for them is gangs, violence, teen pregnancy and other issues of an inner city youth. Our students are filled with the knowledge and glamour of "Hollywood"; so close they can touch it, but it is still worlds away from their reality. This school and its staff give a lot to see kids become successful; we even have our own parole officer to guide students back to a successful. 2015-2016 Enrollment - 436 Census, 418 - At P2 period.
