This club is hands-on learning. In an area as rich in history as Rhode Island, there are no shortages of places and projects for our students to investigate. Our metal detecting club will not only have its own projects, but will be working in conjunction with the school's archaeology club as well! Unfortunately, the startup cost of equipping a student for the hobby of metal detecting can be prohibitive. Some will be able to afford their own equipment, however, the club having equipment for students to borrow will allow them to see if the hobby/club is for them before making a significant financial investment. And for those who cannot afford their own equipment, they will be able to use the equipment owned and maintained by the club, thanks to you.
