The introduction of a MacBook into my classroom can provide many exciting new learning opportunities, including communication with global classrooms and public speaking training. Imagine if a group of American students could work with a classroom in London to talk about their perspective of the American Revolution - or discuss Ancient Egypt with students who live in the shadow of the pyramids! Additionally, the children in my classroom speak four different languages, including Spanish, Bengali and Arabic. Having a Macbook would be a crucial resource in adapting lessons, and curating visual and audio aides for English Language Learners and students with special needs. While other schools may have the ability to do this at anytime, our district does not have the budget for technology at this level. On behalf of my students and myself, thank you for your kind consideration and time.
