Our non-profit school serves offers a structured environment for students who are alternative learners, including children with autism, ADHD and related spectrum disorders. All of our classes are full inclusion classes, which means we have students with and without disabilities learning together. Our classroom sizes are purposefully small, to allow each student to receive the attention they need. Many students in our school receive free or reduced lunch, and we work hard at the school to make sure the students have what they need to learn and to grow. My homeroom class is comprised of very active and curious fifth grade students. My co-teacher and I will be teaching math and science to both fifth grade and fourth grade students this year.
