Research has shown that sensory stimulation is important for brain development. Many students come to school with attention or sensory issues. Movement is often involuntary and part of what their bodies need to feel "normal." Most young children are highly energetic and active, even if they don't struggle with extra attentive or sensory issues. What better way to let them move while still staying productive? With your generous donation, you will be helping increase engagement and learning for all students. Whether they prefer sitting at a desk, bouncing on a stability ball, finding a cozy spot on the floor to lay down and write, or trying to balance while sitting on a sensory disk and listening to a lesson, students will do better because their bodies are working at their best. Research has proven that the need for off-task behaviors like playing with pencils, playing in their desks, or slanting in chairs will all decrease because students basic physical needs will be met. If they can feel allowed to move and be the kind of learner they know how to be, they will know themselves better as students, gain confidence as learners, and increase engagement and enjoyment in school. Please help my students be their best selves at school!
