I teach 7th grade ELA & Social Studies. I am implementing flexible seating in my classroom to help my students feel a sense of belonging and being comfortable in their learning. I am also the Team Leader for my school's PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) team. PBIS is an evidence-based, data-driven framework proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school's sense of safety and support improved academic outcomes. Our PBIS team works to improve social skills of our students and bring our school, families, and our community together to support our students.
