With Kindle Fires, you are contributing to our quest for learning. We will be using tablets to access such programs as MyOn, EPIC! books, and IXL Math. We will be able to take photographs and videos of ourselves reading, storytelling, and document our daily activities. We will also be able to work together with our partners to do the same! During our literacy time, we will be able to use our Kindle Fires to do some research to find information and answer questions using QR codes and also find facts about our non-fiction texts. We will be able listen to stories with a partner or small group and even record ourselves practicing fluency. Using tablets would also give us an opportunity to play math games, practice our sight words, and discover new learning opportunities. It is amazing how one piece of technology can help an entire classroom grow academically. The possibilities of using technology to enhance our personal experiences are endless! Kindle Fires will helps us greatly enhance our school experiences! By having a new piece of technology, we can continue to ask and answer questions, solve problems, and become life long learners. Some of the children in our room do not have the opportunity to use technology at home and have never used a tablet. This would just be one more experience they can be introduced to at school. My students will become published authors and illustrators, a dream of all first graders!
