Next year, I want to create an engaging and collaborative classroom for my third grade students. These students were successful in second grade using a program called 'Today's Meet.' Next year, I want to engage them a step further by creating a collaborative classroom blog through Kidblog. Using Kid Blog, students will be able to create and post their own blog entries, as well as respond to one another's posts in a safe forum. My vision for our class blog is to create a safe place for students to interact with one another, as well as share their learning, in a way that is relevant to today's culture. Unfortunately, what we currently have available at our school does not put engaging new technology in students' hands on a daily basis. I want to increase student access to technology in a meaningful way!
