I feel my students would benefit from a classroom carpet because it provides students with an area to sit, listen, and communicate with other students and teachers. I feel my students will be more attentive during lessons because they are not only in a closer proximity to the teacher, but they can easily talk, share, and build connections with other students. A classroom carpet would also provide a comfy and welcoming area to students during self and group reading instruction. I also feel that students in first grade benefit from transitioning from one location to another. A classroom carpet would provide another area of instruction in the classroom.
