My students will have flexible seating in their classroom this year. By giving my students the opportunity to try many different options for seating in the classroom, they are able to choose on a daily basis where they learn best, as well as where they are most effective. Flexible seating has shown that when students are given the choice in a classroom they are more engaged throughout the day. No two students learn the same way, and throughout the year my students will learn how and where they learn best. Wobble stools and stability balls are an excellent choice for a student who tends to fidget throughout the day in a standard classroom seat. Their energy is focused on the ball/stool and helps with attention and productivity in the classroom.
