I am requesting 2 iPad tablets and 2 protective cases. With technology at my fingertips, I can reach so many more students! I plan on using the iPads to instruct my 2nd graders in independent literacy work. There are fabulous websites and apps that I plan to use such as RAZ-kids, Learn with Homer, LightSail, and more! Technology is the great equalizer. It allows struggling students to become superstars, attain formerly unfathomable goals, and gain enormous self-confidence. With the internet in their hands, inquiry-based learning becomes an adventure and not a chore. It is a hands-on, approachable, FUN way to reward my hard-working kids with knowledge, which is the best prize of all.
