These iPads would help my students reach beyond the traditional learning environment and meet a world they may never otherwise know. If given these iPads, my students would be able to not only learn the TEKS mandated by the state, but make global connections through cooperative learning and creation. With iPads, my students would participate in interactive web lessons, connect with their pen pals in Spain virtually, and create digital portfolios that will grow with them, not only over the course of a year, but as they move through their education. Mastering the content would no longer just be assessed through a paper and pencil benchmark but through digital projects, videos, and presentations that allow students to express their thinking and learning in a more personalized and meaningful manner.
