By using the Scholastic News Magazines, our students will improve comprehension skills through high interest, grade level texts. Each week students will receive one magazine with focus on a different core science or social studies standard. Students anxiously await Scholastic News daily. They can't wait to explore the different topics such as fire safety, holiday celebrations, the election, making new friends, animals, dental health, and plants, just to name a few. These magazines allow me to teach current events using my entire curriculum in a fun and interactive way. Scholastic provides additional resources such as, videos, interactive games, and activities that accompany each weeks topic. These help to engage students in learning in many different ways. I appreciate your generosity and investment in our future leaders!
