Each item in the cart will grant my students the opportunity for a flexible place to complete independent work and take a sensory break when needed. At times, the group can become over stimulating and create behavioral and emotional difficulties. Having a quiet or separate place to sit and work, will give students flexibility and an opportunity to take a break prior to emotional outbursts. Each student has different and unique needs. Although each of these needs cannot be met fully within this classroom setting, the items that will be purchased through this project will greatly improve academic and emotional growth while giving students needed breaks.
