The students will use the requested Kindles and calculators to allow them to read, write, and complete math tasks in my class. This will also help them with their other classes. They will be able to create power points, write essays and stories, do research on the projects that we work on, and complete more complicated equations. Our kids often do not have access to the kinds of technology that are prevalent in more affluent areas. They get to my classes not knowing how to use some of the basic computer programming that they will need in the future. They are given calculators to complete tasks on occasion, and do not know how to complete the task due to their lack of skills. This project will allow them to practice using programs such as power points, typing papers, and solving equations.
