I have thirty students in my 2nd-grade class. I work in a high-poverty Title l school in a rural area. The teachers work closely with the parents and community members to ensure that each child receives a quality instruction in a positive and safe learning environment. My goal is for them to have a classroom with a variety of seating options where they can choose a spot that works best for them. Not every student feels comfortable sitting in a hard chair at a desk all day. They need to get up, move around and have the option of choosing a comfortable chair if that is what works best for them. I want to provide my students with this option of flexible seating.
