JMS is an extremely small school in a very rural area. My students come from one of the most poverty stricken areas in the country. Only 6 students in grades 6, 7 or 8 pay full price or reduced price for breakfast and lunch. Everyone else qualifies for the free lunch program at our school. However, my students are motivated! They want to be better than what the location portrays them to be. My students get excited about making progress and growing as a student. My students get excited about showing the world that we may live in a poverty stricken area but that doesn't mean that we have to give up! I truly have the best students and I am blessed to be their teacher!
