Life would be boring in black and white. Adding color makes things more fun and inviting. Life is about using the whole box of crayons. In the classroom, we do many activities during centers and independent practice that involve sorting pictures according to sounds, syllables, types of nouns, etc. With a lack of funding for resources and supplies, I'm often trying to create fun and engaging activities on my own. Printing picture sorts in black and white can be boring and sometimes confusing. Having a printer to make colorful centers would be beneficial to my students. My students also love to use the three computers we have in the classroom to create writing pieces and adding a colorful picture to their work would provide more motivation to write. We'd print them out and hang them on display! Proudly displaying their work is another way I like to make my students feel loved. We'd love a colorful classroom!
