My students LOVE to read!! My students are identified as gifted learners and most read above our grade level. They love high interest books and challenging projects. They also enjoy discussing what they have read and often engage in heated discussions while trying to persuade classmates to their point of view. This is one of my favorite teaching moments - sitting back and listening to students take off with their discussions. My hope is that through this project they will read a greater variety of books and defend their choice for winner of the awards.
