Learning in an authentic environment is crucial to the understanding and internalizing of experiences we are involved in. I am diligently working towards getting our school declared a TN STEM Designated School. In doing so, everyone has to step back and regroup. This year, we are beginning the process. By providing a variety of opportunities and materials to our students, we will be giving them experiences that can help them learn crucial skills that will be necessary in their adult lives. In order for our teachers to fully grasp the requirements of STEM, I must provide lesson demonstrations that demonstrate the possibilities and thought processes required to ensure that we are teaching the whole child and we are encouraging them to use crucial communication and team working skills. Educating students, families, communities, teachers, and stakeholders all at the same time, makes this process even more beneficial. I feel that the creativity afforded by a LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 Core Set will help "break the ice" in a manner that immediately lends itself to a successful program! We appreciate your time, help and donations!
