My students are 8th grade students ranging in ages from 13-15 years old. Students are enrolled in the 8th grade Pre-Algebra or 9th grade Algebra course. My students are on the edge of really loving Math or having feelings of disgust when Math class rolls around. I believe my students want to enjoy Math but are unable to see its relevance to their interests. My students are hard workers who need a little motivation and encouragement that Math is applicable to real-world experiences and interests.
