I feel lucky to be able to teach such a fun group of students every day. These kids consistently come to school with smiles on their faces and enjoy seeing familiar faces and following a familiar routine each day. In addition to some students coming from non-English speaking and/or low income homes, the students in this wonderful classroom have very diverse needs including physical, mental, and medical impairments. This creates a wide range of learning styles and functioning levels. These students are most successful as a whole when work is presented in a multi-sensory format using auditory, visual, and tactile stimulation. The students also benefit greatly when gross motor and/or fine motor skills are used while learning. Through the generosity of others, these students have been given access to many fantastic learning materials that have already directly benefited them.
